Um, big arse calendar on the fridge with hyuge squares to write what you’ve done today exercise wise? No need for batteries - just replace the biro/pencil when it runs out. Month at a time view would be a good way to keep tabs on fitness goals.

I would absolutely get zero fitness done - the calendar would become invisible to my brain about 5 days after I put it up. I have very poor discipline/consistency around fitness and do benefit from someone/something actively prodding me regularly, and a smartwatch seems to be cheaper than a fitness coach… especially for those strings of days with shitty weather when you just think “yeah nah”.

I am definitely the same as you, i just couldn’t keep my motivation up. I started playing tennis and wanting to become faster / stronger on the court, I started going to the gym! Surprising for me, but I used to do 4 days of tennis and maybe 3 days of gym, but I have been slacking off gym now and doing 5-6 days of tennis instead. Will pick up gym again once I move to my new place!

Are you into any sports? Maybe you could look into one of the sports as it’s more mentally stimulating than just mindlessly working out at the gym
