I said, well, to the best of my knowledge, a phobia is when you have a physical fear response to something. What happens when we’re scared? Our heart can start racing, we might start sweating, pupils dilate, we might start shaking, that kind of thing. Homophobia is a bullshit made up phobia that doesn’t trigger these physical responses. By the way, falling in love can trigger a similar physical response.

I think internalised homophobia might be classified as scientific but I’m splitting hairs and love the person for wearing it.
