minus-squarefullkitwankerlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·1 year agoHow much does lease transfer typically cost? The place i’m moving to is charging $290 (which I will split with the outgoing tenant) but fuck me if that isn’t exxy
minus-squarePilklinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoIt costs $150ish to list a property on a real estate website, and they might do one or two. It seems proportionate to me.
minus-squarefullkitwankerlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoMmm but me moving in saves them that cost no?
minus-squarePilklinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoOh, I misread your post. Sorry. I’m not to sure, it does seem quite a lot in that case.
minus-squareTaleyalinkfedilinkarrow-up4·edit-21 year agoAsk them to prove the costs they’re charging. It’s a fair cost only they can charge. https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/starting-and-changing-rental-agreements/people-moving-in-and-out/transferring-a-rental-agreement
minus-squarejust_kittenlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoI’m surprised you’re paying it, I thought it’s usually borne entirely by the outgoing tenant
minus-squarefullkitwankerlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoMmm, from what i read online (and also my past tenancies) I’ve noticed that it’s usually split between the outgoing and incoming tenants 🤔
