    Sards wonder soap. Put a sock on each hand, grab the wet soap and lather the shit out of them, then chuck them in the wash with the soap still on.

      ok, I might try that with some cool tea towels I’ve got that I just can’t get white

      ( and it’s no wonder my nails are always wrecked )

        You’ll know it works if the suds turn a slightly different colour (dirt coming loose).
