It’s been pulled down for a month or so now probably but I still can’t get over it lol. I feel like there was no warning then one day I go down that way and had to do a double take. I also kept thinking it was the apartments that they pulled down which I was like wait what?? Then realise it was an old commercial building or something.

Literally that whole slab of stuff to the right of the alleyway next to KFC from Perkup onwards.

Yeah I saw that when trying to figure out whether what they pulled down was the apartment block. I’m appalled that people are still standing up commercial buildings though but I guess zoning and stuff.

Yeah cos we all desperately need more offices in the CBD /s. Especially ones which are designed to “entice” people out of WFH and back to the office.

Amidst a housing crisis. Build it and they will come? F***ing hell. I really don’t know if they’re just playing dumb or if they have paid some serious money for some consultant to tell them you know what people don’t come into the office because they don’t like how it looks and feels so let’s make offices great again!

Totally. Even if the building is going to be “mixed use”, as has been claimed, we know it’s highly unlikely to be the affordable housing so desperately needed right now.
