I’ve done something similar to my pinky toe before, smashing it hard into my camphor wood chest. 99% sure I broke it, but you can just splint it to the next toe. I would go to the docs/ER if pain and discomfort become persistent and unbearable, because if it is broken, there is a chance the toe bones have fractured and you may have a floating chip of bone in there. Keep an eye on it and your weight off it, splint it, and see how it goes.
