in case anyone was wondering, there’s nothing amazing in the article, it pretty much boils down to “take annual leave around public holidays and count the starting and finishing weekends”
I had assumed that… but I think this article is probably relevant to a lot of people - starting back at work today and thinking about the year ahead.

Also remember employers with decency levels will allow swapping a notional holiday for another of your own choice.
