Captain Marvel is in the US military and that’s 90% of her character. At least iron man had a vaguely anti-authority attitude and recognized that war profiteering was wrong.
I mean, most of those movies suck (I’ve heard She-Hulk is okay), the issue is they suck just as much with male leads as female leads, but the women coming second are at a disadvantage because people are getting sick of the formula over time.
Disney superheroes just suck. We have like, 3 dudes in suits in America that decide all movies that are made. It’s so bland and the same, artless, profit-driven drivel that they’ve been making for so long now. It’s honestly a surprise when I see a new, good movie.
