Hard agree. Honestly that was precisely what I went into the film for. Velhani was fucking great, the flerken were adorable (so. Many. KITTENS!) and honestly the whole cast were clearly having a great time on set. As you say, not every Marvel movie needs to be “zomg the world is ending!1!1!!!1”
In short, I just want to watch fun movies and have fun watching them, without then being blasted with “this is an awful film, how dare they do this to us”. I didn’t like Mario, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve to exist.
