The WA Greens have revived the debate over Perth’s sprawl, joining with developers, planners and universities to call for a rethink of the city’s urban planning.
I’ve recently noticed that Perthians do seem more partial to ye olde long mac than others.
I’ve also noticed that customers in Freo cafes seem to… greet each other? Is this a thing or is it just me. Usually when I go to a cafe I’m busy not acknowledging anyone like a normal person but apparently that’s not how things are done here?
They always open with “ayy cool username bro 👈😎👈” to try and get a little personal connection going before they hit them up for copypasta to put behind a paywall is all.
I love your username.

Are you a “”““journalist””“”?
No. Do journalists ask about this stuff?

The Perth long Mac variant is it’s own thing. Bell explains it here https://www.thebelltowertimes.com/long-mac-topped-up-perth/
Not sure about the greeting thing in Freo. I haven’t noticed it in the Perth CBD.
Wait, so the perth long mac is just a flat white? I thought it was the same as the Melbourne variant.
Basically a latte / flat white with an extra shot.
But saying that to a local may offend.
