Images are stored in an object store bucket on Wasabi, also in Sydney.

    Have observed a few times recently where CPU usage was high, and resulted in very brief periods of slow performance on the site. This appears to have been due to DB queries maxing out 1 core. Have just upgraded from 2 to 4 vCPU which should mitigate this for now.

    Thanks for taking good care of us. I’ve noticed some of the other servers are crawling, but aussie.zone is always nice & fast 😃

      Oh we’ve had our own issues… but they’ve been improving with each lemmy upgrade 🙂

    Noticed the server wasn’t reachable this morning (~06:30), checking to see if there was a scheduled outage or maybe it was my end haha

      AEST? That would be the daily server snapshot. I’ll see if I can bring it forward, trouble is there are daily Lemmy DB tasks etc running earlier that I don’t want to disrupt .
