@plumbercraic @Thornburywitch there are already native Jack Jumpers that put people in hospital, adding these would be horrific.
I thought we only had bull ants, and these were bad enough. Jack jumpers are more Tassie??? I agree that we really really really don’t need to add fire ants to the mix.

They’re painful but those are definitely people who have bad reactions.
Unfortunately fire ants are in so many places around the world now.
I hope Australia will be able to control the spread but it’s really hard to do.
