Concerns have caused fractures to appear inside Trumpworld, with some Maga allies criticizing advisers
Donald Trump’s campaign recognizes that it could lose in November if the election is decided on “vibes” and “energy”, according to people close to the former president, as Kamala Harris continues to ride waves of momentum with her newly announced running mate Tim Walz.
The concern has also started to open fractures inside Trumpworld, with some Maga allies criticizing Trump’s political advisers for running a campaign that may be too structurally deficient to stand up a ground game in swing states.
The Trump campaign has sketched out a strategy to hit back and are expected to cast the Harris campaign as the most progressive ticket, as they aim to get the political messaging back on their records in office and away from coverage about Harris’s extraordinary enthusiasm with voters.
Trump…could lose in November if the election is decided on “vibes” and “energy”,
My brother in Christ you’ve already seen the response to Project 2025, you think policy will be a better angle of attack?

I honestly think there’s been a shift in the American population. I don’t know if it’s just a new generation coming into voting age, cultural influence from social media or a reduced effectiveness of Red Scare type propaganda - probably all of them and more I’m forgetting.
Regardless, I don’t think “progressive” is a ticket killer anymore. Harris doesn’t seem to either since she leaned into it with Walz. Hell, isn’t Bernie still *the" most popular politician in America?
She just needs to mimic Walz’s disarming responses to accusations of socialism and progressiveness and they’ve got nothing.

Every single vote Trump ever got (that wasn’t from the oligarchy) was based on “vibes” and “energy” instead of policy. So yeah, I’d say that worries them a great deal.
And that’s good for America.
Don’t forget blind party loyalty, there’s no small measure of that as well.
Right, ignore everything and vote for your team.
I honestly think there’s been a shift in the American population.
Well, I know this might be a bit too morbid, but there was a huge shift in the US population, due to COVID. While most of the early COVID deaths were in major cities, eventually it did spread out everywhere, and only one side was advising people to avoid masks as a political statement and drink bleach instead of getting vaccinated. Overall, it might have been a very small shift in Red states vs. Blue states. But Trump won in 2016 based on a tiny margin in a few key states, and lost in 2020 similarly. It is conceivable that the voters who were able to vote in 2016 but not in 2020 due to COVID made a difference.
There was also a huge cultural shift, when the Court overturned RvW. Young women everywhere came to a realization about how important t it is to vote. And since then, every time an Abortion Rights referendum has appeared on the ballot, it has driven massive turnout. I think some young voters were complacent in 2016 and 2020, because they looked at the candidates and none of them resonated like Obama had. They aren’t complacent anymore.
Fuck, I hope you’re right about a widespread attitude change among voters. It’s long overdue.
I think Harris has leaned into Walz primarily to shore up support on the left of the spectrum. Rightly or wrongly, she’s long been seen as not liberal enough among many Democrats. Having Walz on her ticket and some left wing credibility and assuages those concerns. The fact that she’s got so much momentum from her pick is big added extra.
Now we get to see whether the GOP’s political hit attempts can kill that momentum (and distract the electorate away from Project 2025) over the next three months. Hopefully not. God forbid the Republican Party actually chose reasonable candidates and a manifesto that is appealing to all the moderate voters out there!
This is all from Bernie waking a generation up and opening their eyes to what could be. It’s been over 8 years since he first ran and got into the spotlight. Millennials woke up, and saw that there is another option, now a lot of their children are of voting age in a generation that doesn’t listen to 24 hour news cycles that just fear monger, they aren’t scared of the immigrants or trans people. Bernie may not have been elected but he pushed generations to realize how fucked we are and that their is something to do about it. He pushed Harris to pick Walz. He mobilized the grassroots that have now hitched up to Kamalas wagon. Hopefully, things keep trending the way they look like they are. Bernie has done more good already than any president in my lifetime. Even if he hasn’t made massive policy change, he made a few generations become sentient and numbers are what we need.
Spot on!
This is particularly surprising given his history and experience laying hands on women.
If they want to lay a glove they should put their VP on top of the ticket too…
…struggles to lay a glove…
I don’t know much about boxing, but one of them floats like a butterfly, and the other one stinks like a pee…
That’s because Vance put the glove in the couch
The Trump campaign has sketched out a strategy to hit back and are expected to try and cast the Harris campaign the most progressive US ticket of all time
Wtf why can’t I just be racist in peace. This BS will prevent me from looking down on those that don’t have healthcare. I’m not a billionaire but I could be one day and these fucks wanna tax billionaires more? I bet these progressives want to protect the rights of trans people too, total deal breaker for me!
Maybe people are enthusiastic about her BECAUSE she is progressive? Perhaps the American majority want her policies and hate yours? Maybe you are just a shitty puppet with no platform or plan other than to get your friends rich and stay out of jail?
may be too structurally deficient to stand up a ground game in swing states.
That’s not the current Trump campaign. Several state parties particularly in swing states have been terribly disorganized and lacking in funds because it turns out the maga loyalty doesn’t make someone a great political operative. The whole Republican operation is mismanaged and looted since 2020 and accelerating after 2022.
Trump and his advisers are to blame for that, but it’s a much larger issue than this campaign. Michigan I know is as absolute fucking mess for Republicans and you can see it in the polling for Michigan vs other swing states.
expected to cast the Harris campaign as the most progressive ticket
This doesn’t feel like it will be successful when Bernie Sanders is still around. “Progressive” just doesn’t have that same fearmongering vibe that communist and socialist does, and it’s really hard to pin socialism on her when she’s clearly not the furthest left populist Democrat.
It’s hard to lay a glove on someone when they’re all stuck inside a couch.
