Those really are good fonts! Thanks!
This one is better than the (I’m sure) millions Jaguar spent on theirs:
Yeah, if the rent suddenly went up, you were likely month to month.
It can still go up when a lease expires, but generally you have more notification and the opportunity to negotiate.
It will cost a landlord less to give you a better rate, than clean up and refurbish the unit for a new renter.
I’m guessing you were renting month to month instead of signing a lease? Under a lease you’re guaranteed the same amount every month until the lease expires.
Not even 30 seconds, it’s as much time as it takes to type the new address and click “save”.
Our CEO made a big announcement about how we were going to move from a B2B (Business to Business) environment to a B2C (Business to Consumer) environment. B2C is the future, Internet of Things, yadda yadda.
So, since we have an open door policy, I popped him an email and asked him what the plan was to invest in our infrastructure because, as it stood then, B2C was out of reach and the clients we had attempting it were finding it wasn’t robust enough, citing my example client list and recent failures.
I got immediate heat. Nobody had told him our infrastructure couldn’t do it. “What are your sources? How do you know?” - Sources cited. CEO went to his yes men: “This guy knows what he’s talking about and seems really sure of what he’s saying…”
Oh.
10 years later, we’re on our 3rd CEO, our infrastructure still isn’t updated, and B2C still hasn’t happened.
I was going to say “that doesn’t make sense because it’s not just ‘plate’ on a ticket it’s ‘plate+state’”, but that DEFINITELY looks like a New York plate…
An Italian singer did a song that’s what American rock sounds like to people who don’t speak English:
Going the other way, I imagine this is what it was like for non-English speakers discovering Elvis for the first time:
Now I want a t-shirt that says “Herodotus was right.”
Depending on the streaming service, a $99 Roku box might be worth the investment.
I needed one for testing. :)
I enjoyed the first episode, but when I saw how long each one was, I never finished it. I should go back one of these days.

I think you mean Londo instead of his assistant, Vir. But yes, Londo and G’Kar were amazing.
It didn’t help that Democratic leadership seemed intent on sniffing their own farts.
“President Joe Biden will be remembered among the most consequential presidents in American history.”

Also Pelosi:
“A Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States.”
Errr… I still think Babylon 5 Season 4 is the best of television, but you have to have invested in 1-3 first.
It’s particularly bad on my Samsung sets, their HDR implementation is a known bug and there’s no way to disable it on the television itself, all you can do is disable it on connected devices.
Then I find, everytime my Roku, Xbox, or Playstation gets an update, I have to disable it again. :(
Still, better than watching a black scene in a coalmine. LOL.
HDR on:
HDR off:
This is something I was saying all along.
When people tell you “I’m hurting!” the answer is NOT “What are you talking about, Jack? Things are GREAT!”
They WANT Clinton’s lip bite and “I feel your pain!” It’s LITERALLY the economy stupid.
Telling people 3% inflation is no big deal when it’s compounded on top of 3% on top of 9% is how you end a political career.
The View gave Harris a lifeline when they asked her “What would you do different?” and she blew it with “not a thing that comes to mind.”
Even if there was nothing she could have done differently, she could have said “We should have been more empathetic to critics of the administration, from Afghanistan, to inflation, to Gaza.”
It wouldn’t have MEANT anything, but would have given the appearance of meaning something, a tactic Democrats usually excel at. ;)
I have that problem on my televisions, it turns out, it’s bad implementation of HDR.
Turn HDR off on your devices and the picture is instantly bright and clear.
This just showed up the other day:
I now have 40 Shaw Brothers movies on tap!
