    What a weird article. Translation: these things have had scientists baffled forever. While there are several theories, we don’t know why they have formed.

    Which was exactly my experience at the Pinnacles visitor’s centre 5+ years ago when I finally ended up there.

      I thought they were tree/forest/fungi fossils from a wetlands/coastal area. Like how mangroves grow

      The most interesting thing i found about the article was the fact that the “pinnacles” as an attraction will slowly move location as some get buried and others get uncovered.
