Are they blunt or thick? Sometimes resistance going in can make them bend. I’m not sure about the heads though. I know the little emery strawberry was used to smooth or sharpen needles but I don’t know if they would work right with modern anti rust pins.
Dressmakers pins would possible be thinner, stronger and sharper
Pretty sure the sand filled strawberries still work. It’s dress pins that are dying, and yes I’m being somewhat mean to them. The quilting pins are coping much better despite previous abuse with coir and spray paint. Another box of those to the shopping list.
