I picked up a couple of pairs of jeans at the end of year sales.
I paid $20 for one pair, down from $110. Does anyone actually pay that $110? That sounds insane to me.

I am not very fashionable, so this works well for my wallet. Clothes last me a decade because I just don’t care about being up to date with fashion. As long as my nuts aren’t hanging out holes in my underpants, and my shoes are closed in, I’m happy wearing whatever is washed and first out of the cupboard.
So to answer your question - it’s been so long since I’ve bought anything I have no idea if I pay retail or not. I suspect not though.
Speaking of paying retail though - I find sites like OzBargain actually stop me spending unnecessarily. I know this is probably opposite to a lot of the subscribers, but if I see some gadget or other novelty I’m tempted to buy my first stop is OzBargain to see what price is it when it’s actually a bargain. Most of the time it shows that the current “sale” price is pretty crap compared to what it has been historically, so instead of buying it because it’s on sale I hold off in hopes of the better price. And by the time that rolls around, I’ve forgotten all about the gadget and don’t buy it at all.
Having said that… I am currently wearing a Samsung smart watch that I had no intention of buying until it was a pricing error. Glad I didn’t pay anywhere near retail, smartwatches are fucking stupid lol.
