I’m salty with the lyrics website Spotify uses. Some knob evidently didn’t understand Australian and completely fucked up a couple of lines to the point the lyrics made absolutely zero sense. I suggested a change and while I was there I decided to try and time the lyrics along to the song as well. Evidently they thought my edit suggestion was vandalism and rejected the entire thing, so not only did the edit not make it through, they rejected my lyric timing too

And lyric timing on that website is or was a pain in the arse to get set up. They don’t want people using the lyrics website to listen to Spotify for free, so you have to do this whole convoluted procedure where you link your Spotify account to it. The controls were counter intuitive and the way you time is by listening to the song and pressing the + button when a new line starts. Sometimes it would just randomly not register your button push (I’d say one in every 5 pushes or so) and you’d have to go back a few lines (with the only option being manually rewinding - which deleted the progress of any lines after the point you rewound to)

And half the time the lyrics don’t even fucking work or some absolute moron has timed them completely wrong (I saw one where they started the new line at end of the singer finishing singing. Wtf???)
