I have a two week cough (and counting). No signs of letting up, my voice is destroyed. The only good part of this is the cough medicine I got prescribed. It’s delicious and makes me feel woozy.
I had one of these when I was 20 and they gave me liquid codeine. That tasted awful though but forced me to go ni nighs. Not just a gentle “hey, wanna go to sleep?” but more like a “haha sleep time, idiot”. Magic stuff.
I had a three month cough in my early thirties (they suspected whooping cough actually), codeine tablets gave me the relief and the sweet sweet sleep I needed.
