edit: basically: you can’t seal it. It’ll just degrade. And any sealant will probably offgas even nastier shit. It’s a low concern tbh, unless you’re talking a hermetically sealed cabinet. Air exchange happens enough to take care of it. If it’s a dealbreaker, swap the wood out
