Miss Molly Moobeans has taken well to the new food started yesterday or the day before… I’m mixing it with the old. She’s been a bit cranky and sooky though, and hasn’t been #2 yet so we’re not out of the woods. There was a little bit of what could have been a pain squint. Tummy upsets can take time to show. Gotta monitor the moobooty.
I also worry about the burden on her kidneys because this is homebrand food and wouldn’t have been bought if there were other poultry free options at an affordable price point.
Smitten meets an American standard for pet food but likely not the Australian one… but it is fortified unlike the fairly empty Dine Desire/Fancy Feast Royale.
(I also feed her many salty cat treats).
In addition to still needing to check the salt and ash content against the acceptable amount I would be very curious to know the phosphorus levels.
She does ask for variety so it may be the different foods get rotated to avoid cumulative effects of constantly feeding a single brand
Don’t feel too guilty, I’ve tried so many expensive “healthy” cat foods and mine just won’t eat it. I can’t let them starve, they leave the food and won’t eat it at all. My cats are all healthy thus far.
Oh she’s hungry! I’m trying a bigger cheaper tin with added vitamins because she’s not eating her nutritionally balanced biscuits and is ploughing through the tiny overpriced nutritionally empty tins.
Just crossing my fingers it doesn’t upset her sensitive stomach 🤞
try tossing her one of those applaws loins every so often as well? Ours know it’s a rare treat, so they go fucking apeshit whenever we open The Package. Tuna and mackerel are the household faves, only mish cares for the salmons
Cat rambles

I think she’d love that and want it every meal
