First quote done for reverse cycle, they’re a bit nebulous on the accreditation rebate for removal of gas (apparently literally meeting this afternoon to see if they pass the criteria), but we’re looking around 14k.
…that’s a beefass whole house unit, using the floor ducts, 8 vents, ripout of existing and installing completely new ducting, knocking through brickwork for the outside condenser (the current gas is literally under the house), running the new 30a wiring and removal of ye gas giant including shutoffs. Not too shabby. We have to go with a pricier daikin due to the leak detection features of the unit (as it’s in an enclosed space under the house and next to the brewery) which other models don’t have but I will confess I doooooo like an aircon installer who flat out refuses to even entertain the thought of compromise on safety and certification.

…upon reading reviews of daikin systems we need to discuss alternates.
