I have this Dangerfield pinafore that I love to wear, but for some reason the zipper sucks. It’s not that like there isn’t elastic because there is, and it’s not like the zipper is broken. It’s just super happy to unzip itself for some reason and I don’t know what to do with it? Like the teeth aren’t broken, the zip isn’t broken. I’m just so confused lmfao
You can pin a safety pin a little under the zipper pull, so when it tries to tug open the pin holds it shut and prevents it unzipping. You can also sew a hook and eye at the top to do a similar job of holding the edges together and taking any pulling.
I’ve used the pin thing but the pin I have doesn’t work properly. I might try the hook and eye thing though. Need to go to Spotlight anyways to grab some fabric to fix a hole in a shirt I love.

Make sure the zip handle is facing down flat, that is supposed to stop it unzipping.
