I’ve been using the Nothing Phone 2a+ since the 3G shutdown, it’s okay but a little bare bones compared to Xiaomi devices, which have significantly larger userbases.
Aside from the cheaper chipset, I mainly miss auto-HDR, I didn’t realise how much of my phone use was the OS supporting HDR when the applications didn’t themselves.
Like I said it’s okay, but still probably my lowest value phone I’ve owned in the last decade, after having enjoyed highly competitive imports.
I also miss Dolby Atmos, which worked very well even on my Anker Soundcore earbuds.
I wouldnt ever use a Xiaomi. I understand why people do, but the experience just isnt there for me. the OS still looks like crap. they’ve toned it down a ton, but where Samsung evolved past the S1 UI design a lot of the Chinese manufacturers didnt fully.
