That figure alone means nothing. If the indigenous population are causing more trouble and being more violent then that would cause this. It might be repeat offenders too.

NSW police are famous for their well measured and reasonable use of power so you’re probably right.

I’m not saying that they aren’t idiots that abuse their power, but how the person they’re interacting with acts will greatly affect just how much they abuse that power.

Ah, so it’s victim blaming then… pretty sure it’s just a coincidence that cops are notorious for domestic abuse also…

If they’re such mindless brutes that they need to be handled and engaged with in the same way you would handle a rabid animal then maybe, just maybe, it’s the cops fault?

Sigh. Firstly I didn’t say it’s not the cops fault. Secondly, nowhere does it say they’re treated like rabid animals.

You’re talking about needing to exhibit some specific set of behaviours while some heavily armed cunt lays hands on you or they’ll beat you up.

No I’m not. There are actions you can make that will make police more likely to put hands on you in the first place, and then also to use excessive force. If you try to run for example, they’re going to use force. If you get aggressive and start shouting racism, they’re gonna use force.

Again - the article gives no specifics on anything, which is why I said it means nothing without more info.

Hey what if though, what if, bear with me here, what if the people trained and paid and heavily armed like didn’t startle at loud noises and beat you up for calling them racist?

What if, bear with me here, we actually got some more information about these uses of force before we went and made conclusions about how it’s all just racism?
