Paramount+ has some pretty decent stuff on it, but holy shit, do I hate not only its UI, but that some shows don’t have subtitles even though it does. I was watching Catfish on Stan but it’s not there anymore so decided to watch on Paramount+ and just… no subtitles.

(Also to preface, I’m hard of hearing, it’s why I need subtitles, not that I have to defend myself but sometimes I do).

I took Foxtel Now up on their 10 day free trial. Their Google TV app is total ass. Finding things was nightmarish, and again not everything had subtitles

Neither my partner or I have hearing issues but we always watch with subtitles on as so many shows have really bad mixing

It has a lot of stuff I like, and also it has Ex on the Beach (trash TV yeah but I love when they get into fights and the drama). But yeah, it’s so weird that shows I know have subtitles… just don’t. I remember watching the earlier seasons of Ex on the Beach and the subtitles were out of sync, it was so weird.

Honest to god I watch pretty much everything with subtitles these days, not that I’m hearing impaired but the sound mix on so many things is so terrible and so many actors mumble and I keep missing out on important words or phrases. It’s just a million times easier with subs. I’d be mad too and I don’t even need the subs!

      Worth complaining about IMO.

Sound mixing is terrible these days. There was a Vox video about it where a lot of movies are mixed for cinemas, and not the home because so many people have different sound systems.
