Just the Aldi pre-cooked frozen ones, but mate, they’re so tender and full of flavour.

This is my recipe for lamb shanks. I simmer 4 lamb shanks in water, French onion soup mix, one onion and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Serve it up with mash. Because the kid won’t eat a full one I’m left with one and a half shanks.

I’ll take the shanks out of the stock and shred it. Box it up. Now I’m left with lamb stock. Pop both in the fridge. Next day skim the fat of the stock. Fry up onion, carrot, celery etc. Add the stock, meat, Pearl barley, potatoes. I now have the best lamb shank soup. Feeds us for days or I’ll freeze it for those times when I can’t be fucked.
