    Which would be worse? Having everyone assume you were drunk at your post and the ship may of survived had you raised the alarm sooner? Or actually having been drunk and thinking the ship may have been saved if you raised the alarm sooner?

    It’s all a bit moot. It wasn’t Mr. Lee’s call to push Captain Smith for more speed through the area knowing there were reports of icebergs. In fact, if he’d been a bit slower and the ship had directly struck the iceberg, it likely would have stayed afloat.

      Yeah, its one in a series of decisions in the chain of events, i don’t think his actions were the most consequential in the end.

      What i did think was, if this was the person that didn’t have the binoculars? Wasn’t a pair lost? So a variation on your theme, would it be worse to not know if you’d lost them when you were drunk, or know you’d lost them.
