Every day I feel getting closer and closer to adventure-time Liberals don’t want real liberation for palestine. They have a fetish for defeat. I literally cannot have half a conversation with anyone above the age of 30 without racist chauvinism or hearing them justify imperialism.

there’s a difference between shipping containers and people though yeah? Stop bombing palestinians, and they’ll stop targeting ships.

The US has been fucking around long enough it’s about ready to find out too tbh.
hell, australia has fucked around since inception

Nothing, you guys are all living in some messed up world.

Eye for an eye sends the whole world blind.

Israel responded too attacks that were perpetuated because of previous attacks and a history that is ongoing.

I don’t support either side in this, but the world needs to step in when people are threatening the entire economy

Yes, and so are you. We’re all on the same planet here, right?

I don’t support either side in this, but the world needs to step in when people are threatening the entire economy

Yeah, the economy is obviously much more important than the ongoing slaughter of Gaza. The fuck is wrong with you?

Lol, you literally in this comment condemned violence against Israel for commiting a genocide while excusing violence against Yemen for causing some harm to the regional economy

Sounds like you actually do support one side, the one “the entire economy” is on.

Eye for an eye sends the whole world blind.

This doesn’t mean you’re obliged to stand still while they’re blinding you.

Israel’s occupation of Gaza has been declared illegal by the UN and the ICJ has ruled there is no right to self defense for Israel when it comes to Gaza and the West Bank.

Yemen is enforcing the rules-based order.

So open genocide on Gaza (facilitated, materially supported, and protected by the US) after 75 years of occupation is fine.

An 8 year, arguably exterminationist, bombing campaign against Yemeni civilians resulting in one of the worst humanitarian disasters of modern times (facilitated and materially supported by the US & UK) is fine.

But you draw the line at the potential for decreased profits of insurance companies like Lloyds of London and minor delays in shipping. Got it.

          A few quick questions though…

How many German civilians should the US have helped to obliterate with cruise missiles for the delays caused by the Ever Given?

What about Italy, France, Denmark, and Taiwan for when they exacerbated the shipping container shortage for profit, how many of their civilians should be blown up?

How many American citizens should the US be required to drone strike for its taking violent capture and theft of oil tankers and cargo ships all over the world?

What percentage of the Israeli population do you think needs to be murdered for their attacks on international shipping? Including, I might remind you, a ship delivering humanitarian aid where their military shot and killed a US citizen. Surely they deserve far worse military retaliation than Yemen does right?

some messed up world indeed. There’s a clear ‘side’ to support here, and it’s not those acting on behalf of a genocidal state emboldened by such actions.

The yemeni solidarity with the palestinian struggle is genuinely heartwarming, and we could stand to show solidarity with them.

Meanwhile australia, US, UK and the rest of them have run defence for israel from the outset. “Unequivocal right to defend”, “humanitarian pauses”, “40 beheaded babies” I’m so tired

Even when I was a lib, I knew that the “responsibility to de-escalate” was vastly vastly more on the largest most well funded militaries in the world rather than the people they were bombing and starving. Perhaps Israeli ships wouldn’t be captured (without substantial harm to the crews other than being captured) if the Israelis hadn’t spend the last 75 years murdering and displacing Palestinians with vast amounts of Western support. Grow up.

because of previous attacks and a history that is ongoing.

That history has a start though, and depending on where you start you either get Israeli’s mass murderng Arabs in the Nakba, English ethnically cleansing Arabs to make room for Jews, or the literal, Adolf Hitler-led NSDAP funding Jewish emigrations to Palestine. There is no world where Israel isn’t the aggressor.

think about when the original fucking around occurred.

if you need to think about this a bit more, think about whether your grandma and her ancestors were the ones fucking around or not

i didnt support the violence inflicted on my grandmother nor do i support it on anyone else.

It was bad that people were mean to my grandma, but you know what would be worse? Being mean to them.
      I am very smart.
