Yeah, i can understand that it feels like a loss for people whenever boundaries are shifted like this. Theres only two other options though.

increase seats in parliament, in proportion with population growth. This would surely lead to seat boundaries getting changed all over the state all the time, instead of one or two every so often.

Increase rural population. Which nobody seems to know how to do. Especially with farm ownership concentration, and FIFO driven mining, whats the pull to rural WA?
