I picked up a couple of pairs of jeans at the end of year sales.
I paid $20 for one pair, down from $110. Does anyone actually pay that $110? That sounds insane to me.

You misunderstand.
You don’t go shopping to spend money. You go shopping to save money.
For example: I saved a lot of money this Christmas.
I went shopping specifically for jeans. I don’t impulse buy. I know what I want, I find it and I buy it. I do a lot of purchasing online, but unless I know exact sizes etc (I buy shoes online readily) I’ll buy clothes in person so I can try them on.
Ok, I impulse buy computer games online. It’s just so hard to turn down a game with good reviews and 92% off!
