Streaming these days feels so uncomfortable for me since so much of my income at this point comes from the same people whose voices im trying to amplify. Plus the CONSTANT harassment campaigns (usually launched by the same fashy people I used to run with back in my edgier days). Plus McCarthyism (like the ban I’m fighting rn). Plus the nonstop sexism. I’m tired.

I don’t have any context for the video, I didn’t know anything about it before I started digging. Again, I don’t like twitch streamers, not watching or following their dramas obviously checks out. So put to that to rest please, I’m not a sexist.
But I do find the parasocial relationships and hierarchical nature of twitch streaming toxic and I like this community because neither of those things exist here.
