I heard that NBN have released a pretty long list of suburbs they’ve earmarked to get upgrades from FTTN to FTTP, but it’s a bit light on details like when that happens, who will get it and how it’ll happen.

Has anyone seen yet happen, and what was it like? Did they upgrade apartments or houses only? Does it go to the point or just to the curb/basement?

I have some issues with my coax connection but I’m wondering if I should kick up a stink about it now or just wait for the fibre upgrade.

I don’t think HFC is supported at all for the upgrade, should have seen you meant that with the “coax” note. But yeah, that’s a huge bummer. I’m one of the lucky few that got FTTP at the end of the initial rollout, but it sucks for everyone else.

Ah damn that is a bummer. Looks like I should get mine fixed then. There’s constant drop outs and my debugging tools are suggesting it’s failing outside of my local network. I’ve had the tech come in for a fix already and it’s busted again after a few months.

Congrats on getting FTTP at the start. My folks got FTTP as well and honestly it’s pretty amazing.

Yeah, it’s great. I do wish that high upload plans were more affordable (and available). It feels ridiculous to have these super asymmetric plans on a technology that can comfortably do 1gbps up and down.

And yeah, probably not much else you could do other than complain about it.
