The downside to making them weekly is that it will only appear on your feed for the first day or two, then it will disappear and won’t get used anyway.
It’s a shame really. I have noticed on here that the Melbourne daily seems to attract a lot of traffic.
The threads on Reddit used to be much more popular, pre-API debacle. Most of the regulars moved to Discord.
Anyway, yeah IMO weekly would be better.
I will never accept/understand people using discord for some of the things it’s used for! Hahaha. It’s just not the right solution for stuff like that.
Honestly, I actually think this is one thing Discord is pretty good for. I mean, I still prefer open technology over closed, but for the sort of casual, ephemeral chats people used the daily threads for, Discord is perfect.
Now, games and software using Discord as their place for getting feedback, but reporting, user support, etc.…That, I absolutely cannot stand.
Could be worth testing for While at least? If we start getting enough traction can bump it back to daily.
