I’m sure if the origin country was a desirable first world developed one then the location would be on the label.
Chances are it’s somewhere with a poor reputation for food standards.
Maybe they’re just too lazy to care. It might be breadcrumbs that change origin regularly depending on what’s available and they don’t want to bother changing the packaging.
