    I don’t have a lot of vertical space that isn’t either already in use an/or against fences where the neighbour’s trees tend to suck the life out of everything. I do have plans this year to try and grow a pumpkin up and onto the shed roof, and have used an old bed frame to make a trellis over the compost bins to do the same there. I’ve also been growing zucchini vertically, but the staking method wasn’t right last year so it kept collapsing, I might try a multi-stake cage style this year. My other main vertical plan this year is to try to get a luffa growing into the neighbour’s tree on the fenceline, they can be a bit rampant so it might manage to tangle through it quite a bit if I’m lucky.

      That would be the ultimate subtle hint to your neighbours that they need to shower more

        Well, in this case I see my neighbour outside so rarely I wouldn’t know if she needs to shower, and she sees her back garden so rarely she would never see the hint anyway. 🤷‍♂️
