Choice magazine placed mitsubishi heavy industries just above Daikin, which are kind of the BMW of split systems. Might be worth seeing if you can find a choice review, but I think you’d need to be a subscriber. My mate is a subscriber and that’s where we looked them up, last year sometime. I moved out of the place I was looking to install one in and my new place already had this one installed. It’s been on almost every day since I moved in in May. I have one here, it’s great though a touch underpowered for my whole flat but it smashes one room if I close the door to the bedroom.

Currently have Panasonic and seems fine so far, but it’s not very old so don’t know how good the longer term reliability is. Don’t be tempted to get a smaller unit that needed for the space, the sweet spot for efficiency and function is having a right sized unit. Check the cost of installation before you buy a unit. Installation can be expensive, and if you have an older house and switchboard is not to current standards there may be a requirement to update it.

Edit: oops replied to wrong comment in thread.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll check out choice reviews. I’ve been thinking of getting one for years but am the queen of procrastination, so keep putting it off
