Does anyone else find it somewhat insane that new drivers license is sent in the mail? It’s got your photo, your DOB, your signature and your address on it. Not to mention the license itself is a form of ID?
Yeah it is quite weird. I mean, most bank cards don’t even work until you enter a code into your app. But that’s what happens when government agencies get privatised or given budget cut after bduget cut
I think it’s more about incentive. If someone uses your card and it’s not authorized the bank loses money that they could have otherwise lent or invested etc.
Someone steals your license, oops what a shame. There’s no real consequences for VicRoads.

Hate to be the one to tell you, but all your mail has your address on it.
I’m aware, but it doesn’t have it along with every other piece of identifying information along with it all conveniently located on the one card.
