I love that the latest struggle session is about an anti-Marxist social democrat on a predominantly ML and anarchist site. Like I said before, all the dude does is write good articles sometimes. He’s not worth dying on a hill over. lol
The album’s lyrics, written by Yorke, are more abstract compared to his personal, emotional lyrics for The Bends. Critic Alex Ross said the lyrics “seemed a mixture of overheard conversations, techno-speak, and fragments of a harsh diary” with “images of riot police at political rallies, anguished lives in tidy suburbs, yuppies freaking out, sympathetic aliens gliding overhead.” Recurring themes include transport, technology, insanity, death, modern British life, globalisation and anti-capitalism. Yorke said: “On this album, the outside world became all there was … I’m just taking Polaroids of things around me moving too fast.” He told Q: “It was like there’s a secret camera in a room and it’s watching the character who walks in—a different character for each song. The camera’s not quite me. It’s neutral, emotionless. But not emotionless at all. In fact, the very opposite.” Yorke also drew inspiration from books, including Noam Chomsky’s political writing, Eric Hobsbawm’s The Age of Extremes, Will Hutton’s The State We’re In, Jonathan Coe’s What a Carve Up! and Philip K. Dick’s VALIS.
Yes, a man who hates Marx and Marxism is the most “vindicated” man alive. Dude writes articles that are sometimes good, that’s it. lol
Inb4 scrabbled eggs
Yeah, I’m not really a huge fan of this movie, it’s just the two examples that have gotten the most discussion. Cameron has applied this to several of his other films that have been re-released in 4k and it serves as a bad precedent towards how much filmmakers choose to manipulate and change their past works like Lucas did.
lol
someone who rants about one thing being significantly worse than another, but provides examples of the two things that are basically indistinguishable from one another.
That’s not what a snob is. I just posted links to the pictures so you can see for yourself. It definitely isn’t indistinguishable, especially if you look at Tom Arnold’s face. It’s quite the opposite actually and if calling out weird AI smoothing is being a snob than it seems a large portion of people are.

but posting these low-resolution still side-by-sides just makes the OP look like a snob.
Wait, what? lol
I don’t think you know what the word ‘snob’ means.
In both pictures, the left is before and the right is after.
I saw someone refer to this as the liberal God’s Not Dead and I can’t get over it.
I reject that hypothesis. If it was an oppressed people being othered than it would make sense and the criticism would work, but we’re talking about fascists. Again right wing movie “analysts” like Rob Ager pushes this stuff. Ager has a video called “Killing Private Kraut” that is solely dedicated to pushing this “theory”.
What the fuck? What’s this fascist apologia nonsense? I’ve seen reactionary right wingers make very similar claims as a way to push some kind of clean wehrmacht theory. Shocking it’s getting upvoted so much.
No surprise, dude’s a huge fan of Truman.
Isn’t he regarded as the “showrunner” for the MCU?
lol No, they don’t like that show. Chapo may have praised them in the past, but they definitely don’t like them anymore. Not only did the show make fun of them for getting a PPP loan, but they also made fun of the main host several months ago for being caught changing aspects of her life story. https://youtu.be/lkYV5RgdR7w?si=Ugqyv7BfZZe3kTbQ
Is he actually problematic or is this like a hating 10 year olds thing
He has pretty bad sociopolitical takes.
I responded to everything you said; literally every sentence has its response in my comment.
LMAO
Brace told people it was a bit before the footage dropped. They dedicated two entire episodes to talking about Shen Yun, so there actually was context beforehand.
