Fuck me I’m sick of the noise of mowers and whipper snippets and leaf blowers and shit.
Both days if it wasn’t one thumpy noisy engine it was another. Dunno if I’ve got misophonia or what but the constant noise was driving me nuts. As soon as one neighbour finishes the next one kicks off.
I think it’s the waste that annoys me the most - mowing and snipping and blowing driveways just to do it all again next weekend. Litres of fuel being burned for nothing.

Depending on what battery eco-system you buy into, the batteries can be used for a lot of different stuff.
I have Victa and Snapper battery powered tools, so just limited to mowers, snippers, blowers, etc.
My Dad uses Ozito stuff, so on top of the above he can use the batteries for drills, vacuums, angle grinders and other power tools.

That’s fair. It would be nice to have what ever battery, and be able to plug into which ever tool (might be a market for after market battery adaptors). I feel like the brand name of the tool is some kind of indicator of the quality of the accompanying battery as well.
Modular power supplies have a similar problem in the PC building world. The cables are not interchangeable between brands due to different pin-outs (5V, 12V, etc), and sometimes not even interchangeable between the same brand with different models of power supplies.
I read a thing a while ago that the EU is going to force a common battery connector on tools similar to the way they forced USB C on phones.
I’m keen. Glad the EU is doing something about ewaste, cause the US and Asia (us included) sure ain’t.

I’m fully with you on the the hate of that noise, my personal most disliked is the super loud leaf blowers urgh.
It seems cruel that my watch decided that after riding over 100 km this morning, I still need to go out and walk another 1000 steps.
Probably a good way to do some active recovery though.
I cut my walk short.

New phone only has 2x zoom sadly, so couldn’t make it clearer.
But yeah the markings were weird. Especially since the soccer sideline was only like a metre away from the edge of the goal box (side note: I’m not a big soccer fan, but that’s…not normal, right?), and the cricket oval boundary goes through it there.
Celebrating my younger brothers birthday where we just did an escape room on the Gold Coast. First time doing one, and that was heaps of fun. Highly recommended.
