That Postal movie is quite something. He also has a series of 3 movies or so called Rampage or something that seems suspiciously like him airing out his desire to be a mass shooter dressed with the thinnest veneer of social commentary
I would say Postal is one of those rare very strange movies you should watch. It’s not “good” but it is funny to marvel at for the stupid spectacle of it
Bad movies are just as good as good movies. At least if you’re into the film making process and the decisions being made during production etc. Seeing something done wrong is at least informative as to why something being done right is right
I read the synopsis for Rampage expecting a goofy movie about people turning into Kaiju and smashing up a city and all I got was an adaptation of the video game Hatred.
It’s just not fun and really depressing to watch. It has none of his low budget charm and crude humor. It’s just a guy in a small town putting on some plate mail and gunning down random people he sees in town. Vast majority of them don’t deserve it. We’re given no reason to be sympathetic to him, he has no discernible cause or message until like the 2nd or 3rd movie where his ideology is just eco-fascism and population control. Funnily enough, Rampage is like the only well-reviewed film by Uwe Boll from western critics. Says a lot I think.

I’ve not watched it. Life is too short to watch movies that are unlikely to be good when there’s so much stuff I’d probably like waiting to be seen.

OK, if it’s that strange I shall put it in my maybe pile.

Yeah, it can be.
