I recently started rewatching S1 of Shadow and Bone, since I was surprised to learn S2 came out in March (shows how much attention I pay to Netflix lately). It can be a bit ‘YA’ sometimes, but the aesthetics and world-building are enough to keep it interesting.
I didn’t mind the first season but I dont remember much. I liked the setting and some of the minor characters more than the leads (the actors are fine, just the characters were kinda meh). I vaguely remember the story partly being told through flashbacks. I despise flashback storytelling.
