I’ve been posting to multiple communities whatever I find that’s even remotely interesting. I figure at the moment activity is the most important thing for newcomers to Lemmy.

So, do you all care about ABC news articles that have a Brisbane interest? I’m happy to stop posting them if nobody cares or wants them.

I say continue posting them. The community is still small so any relevant content is appreciated, even if it’s not something I am personally interested in at the time.

Don’t take a lack of engagement as a sign people aren’t interested… There’s the 90/9/1 rule to keep in mind: you’re being the 1% at the minute by contributing, and the 9% of responders are still a very small number at the minute.

Keep posting them. Anything related to Brisbane and surrounding areas should be welcome, be it news, discussions, or random photos.

Post them. Whilst traffic is low, it’s good to have more options. And when traffic picks up, voting will soon enough show us what people want to see and what they don’t want to see

It’s good to keep up to date with what’s happening so keep posting is my vote.

@ObM I like them and post them. What would be nice though if if you could post it in the body of a new article with a bit of context about the value/interest, rather than just post it as a link. How you do it is up to you though :)

A great number of my mates are in Brisbane. It’s nice keeping up with what’s happening your side of the world.

But I also browse Lemmy with “Local + New” so multiple postings of the same article across Aussie.zone can be just a little annoying. But it’s fine, I’ll get over it :)

I’m keen to see more headlines posted. Only thing I wouldn’t want to see is just spamming the community with every single news article posted by abc / brisbane times / etc. Relavant or interesting news is definitely awesome, mirroring a new website, not so much.

I’ve posted a couple of qps releases and have wondered the same thing.

I don’t see this as being my “role”. I don’t intend to do it long term, but as this community grows, I think it’s great to have others post this kind of content. It generates discussions which is what it’s all about.
