Did you actually get any cyclone? One of the guys at work lives on the coast at Manly and said they got nothing more than a typical southerly.
Here in the bum end of Brisbane you’d never know anything was going on except for the 24 hour rolling coverage by free to air TV. I think I had my channel 7 bingo card filled out by Thursday night (inundated, unprecedented, raging, charging…)
Now I gotta go pack up all the sandbags and tie downs and put away the generators etc and I never even got a chance to use them :-(
Charged the EV at standard electricity rates to make sure we had it available for V2L too. Never paid more than 8c/kWh to charge it before. Feels like I’m back in an ICE paying all that money to fill the car up.
Legit disappointed that a once in a lifetime event was such a nothingburger. I’m not going to live long enough to see another cyclone reach Brisbane so that was it… My Haylley’s Comet moment and it was lame.
