BBC Radio personality Scott Mills has disclosed that they ‘can never’ air Malta’s song entry for this year’s Eurovision due to BBC regulations.

Most of the catchy tune is in English, except for the chorus - and its title - which includes ‘Kant,’ reportedly the Maltese word for ‘singing’.

The chorus features her singing: " I do it all the time, yeah, I do it all the time. Serving kant. Do, re, mi, fa, s-s-serving kant."

While the song has both shocked and delighted Eurovision fans, many won’t hear it on the radio due to ‘kant’ sounding remarkably like an offensive term in English.

Perhaps they can’t air it on BBC Radio, but I wonder how they will deal with the live broadcast of the contest.

I assume the BBC has a crack team of censors for operating the bleep button.
