Dutton is not a monster. He is the embodiment of the banality of evil.
Tbh what I find grubby is pretending that this ad was actually attacking Dutton’s wife, and not Dutton himself. And I find Albo’s caving to pressure and strong-arming his party’s other branches grubby.
Also grubby is Dutton thinking it’s appropriate to use his wife to clean up his name but then think responding to that precise and is inappropriate. It’s a grubby double standard.
I might not have remembered her defence had Albo not conspicuously ordered them to take it down.
Could it be a cleaver use of the Streisand effect? Or am I giving them too much credit?
Never mind the sort of attacks that the libs/their propaganda wing are more than happy to level.
On Monday, Mr Dutton responded to reporting of the meme on social media, saying the Liberal Party he led would never target Anthony Albanese’s partner, Jodie Haydon.
So, she did an interview and it was accurately quoted. How is that not ok to point out? I hate western politics.
In essence this is an honourable move from Albo. In reality, as politics stands, the Victorian LP’s action, nor Albo’s, matters not a jot.
I don’t see strong arming your own party members over a grubby double standard from your opponents is honourable.
