We just gave the presidency and both houses of Congress to Republicans. Apparently this is what America wants.
Democrats lost because a big chunk of their base was so disgusted at Democrats’ behavior that they stayed home. Do Republican politicians start capitulating to Democrats en masse every time they lose an election? No. They look at their base and ask what they can do to get their votes back. Democrats in response to losing just try even harder to get Republican to vote for them.
Doesn’t sound like much of a base if they won’t even show up to vote.
I’d love it if the Democrats were farther left, but the left doesn’t consistently show up when it matters or else we wouldn’t be looking down the barrel of another trump term.

You’re correct. It was a steaming lump of an election. We can place the blame firmly on Biden for not bowing out early enough to have a primary.
However…
Not voting is voting, unfortunately. If they don’t like the options, they should do something about it—otherwise stop complaining like a child and vote.
But it doesn’t matter now, the right wing won and they cleaned up enough to ensure they have control for the next few decades. Let’s just hope they are truly as unorganized as they seem.
