The compostable standards are bullshit and just mean the product breaks down in compost. You’ll almost definitely just be adding microplastics. I always just put them in the bin, especially the commercially compostable stuff.

You can look up the two standards to work it out, but I’d never want to trust something labelled as home compostable unless you really really want to start microplastics maxxing.

What was the argument?

It seems this post is crossposted to the community it was originally posted in and that when this happens Lemmy UI only shows the original post in the community it was originally posted in.
