Just a general thread about running. How’s your running going? What are you training for? Did you get new shoes? Sporting an injury etc.

Sadly i fell down my stairs at the beginning of last week and hurt my toe. putting me out of commission. i think by midweek ill be ready to go out again and try my new shoes.

First run back today after a self inflicted clumsy injury whilst working from home. It’s been about a month since my last run.

Wasn’t too bad, quite a bit slower than where I was at, but have decided I’m going to focus on consistency rather than stretching for a pb every run from now on.

Injured foot is a little tender, but I think I stayed on the right side of effort to keep it under control. I’ll see how it goes over the next few days.

Did you take the dog? Did he keep turning around and looking at you like “TOO SLOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TODAY”?

2 weeks until my boston qualifying attempt. All the hard training is done now. Time to taper and recover for race day.

Probably the worst part of the training block for me. Just taking it easy, feeling like i’m losing fitness.

Set a new PB for 10K, 2:30 faster than my previous PB.

Strava ignored my watch and said I only ran 9.99K though, so it doesn’t count.

Just got cleared to start exercising after a fractured ankle.

The leg is a mess from over a month of limping/favoring/boot, and a month prior to that of not knowing what was wrong and slowing down. so I’m gonna take it super slow, do lots of foam rolling and stretching. So walks and stretching for now.

Really starting from nothing and feeling worthless, was very healthy and happy before. Oh well, better to get started again.

My trusty shoe model has for some reason suddenly started rubbing and bruising my outer ankle bone. I’m hoping that some exercises will strengthen my foot and fix the issue.

I’ve been unable to run for over 2 months due to a knee injury. But with some PT I finally started running about 2 weeks ago. Ran for 30 minutes Tuesday and it was my first run without any knee discomfort since the injury!

The injury wasn’t related to running, but it prevented me from doing any sort of impact based activities. Running, jumping, etc.
