Voting isn’t used to express how you feel about something, it’s used to show the relevance to the community its posted in. If its something relevant that you care about in the right community, then upvote it.

Yeah, it’s one of those weird things, upvote something devastating becase it’s important. Maybe there a way to relabel the upvote downvote to more or less important ?
